Audio Drama
Audio Drama
While training at ALRA, Audio Drama was the logical doorway into voiceover for work for me. I still find it exhilarating thinking of the worlds you can create using just a single microphone and your imagination, often with people who might not be in the room with you, or even in a different time zone!
Big Finish was instrumental in my early voiceover days, and I got to work with brilliant folk like John Barrowman, Lisa Bowerman, John Sessions, and Colin Baker.
Hoping to realise some of the creative potential that comes with audio drama, not to mention the smaller budget, I dipped into producing myself, writing, acting and designing pieces for Hear First productions and also adapting a stage musical with Ha-Hum-Ah for audio drama format in the early days of the COVID lockdown.
Crreating audio drama is incredibly liberating, and a real storytelling challenge on all fronts.
With plenty of experience on both sides of the mic, drop me a line to talk about any part of your Audio Drama ideas and dreamings!
